Supremacy...there's a marketing department whoopsie at least in the US given recent events.

The more leftoids it triggers, the better. You think them liberal arts degreed baristas can afford a waterbloc, let alone a sufficiently powerful CPU for it?

I'll just sit over here with my theater degree and overclocked i5-6600K, and not literally be a Nazi. Because that is who those "white supremacists" you so love are. They are Nazis. There is no qualification needed. And they will be punched in the face. Repeatedly. And then fired.

Thank you for a great demonstration. Now explain how white people advocating for their own interests are literally nazis, and leftoids burning cities are saints.

You'll probably be happy to know that EK operates and manufactures in Slovenia. The only supremacy they're going to give you is a nice cool Threadripper.

    Unless you're gay.

Looks like a lightly longer base attached to the same fin channels design.
Waiting for someone to actually extend the fin chamber to cover the entire CPU surface.
    Heatkiller, are you listening?

    XSPC has one http://www.xs-pc.com/blog/2017/8/threadripper.

Looking at where the blue coolant is and where I can see the base of the water block, it's the same thing as this one. A new mounting bracket for an existing standard sized waterblock.
  • shabby - Monday, August 14, 2017 - link

Ya neither of these are ideal, the fins not just the base should cover all the cores
  • HomeworldFound - Tuesday, August 15, 2017 - link

It should cover everything, although to be fair I would look for a more upmarket solution than XSPC offers.
  • alamilla - Tuesday, August 15, 2017 - link

XSPC's TR4 cold plate is 80mm long vs EK's 68mm and there's a blow up image of the waterblock on their Facebook page detailing it's coverage.
I don't have any brand allegiances but their Raystorm Pro was highly praised by both Xtreme Rigs and Thermal Bench.

When they took over Thermochill's manufacturing/distribution they also bought the bottom unbranded end of the market, including their coolant EC6. Likewise there are companies and products people think are high end and yet there are entire communities warning against them.

For the record I don't have any brand allegiances either. I wouldn't pick out one or two companies gear as being above the rest, you could say something positive or negative about any company. I just watch the history of the industry and quality of the products, the way a company takes action and handles support and such. For example it really pains me to see Primochill still in the industry.

It looks like it covers where the chips are under the spreader does it not? Just wondering out loud if that would change the temps or not?
  • Papaweet - Sunday, August 27, 2017 - link

Not only that, but their impingement is landing directly in between the dies on that chip. That can't be good.
  • HomeworldFound - Tuesday, August 15, 2017 - link

Well, that's one way to clear out your existing stock of WaterBlocks.
