  Are any of the "5D optical storage" technologies rewritable? I would like to see that come to market. If it's not rewritable, maybe it won't matter if the capacity can be in the hundreds or thousands of terabytes range.

  I get three dimensions - but the annoying marketing term "5D optical storage" is just misleading with its extra dimensions.

  Call it quartz discs, memory crystals, holographic storage, whatever. I don't care what it's called, as long as it works.
