I'm confused, does the Ativ Tab (RT) come with an S-Pen as well?

Doesn't look like it. I suspect that Microsoft is keeping the UI experience pretty well locked down for Windows RT, so we won't see any skinning in either it nor Windows Phone 8 as we've seen for Android, or for Windows Mobile previously. What we will see in each are Hubs; apps with flamboyant live tiles that will give access to exclusive content provided by the OEM and carrier. We saw this with HTC's movie and video offerings, and it seems Samsung will provide similar function in Windows Phone 8 and Windows RT.

That doesn't mean that at some future point Windows RT couldn't be made more extensible and we might see a Note variant, but for now it seems that sort of functionality will be limited to the x86-based Windows 8 tablets. This is going to get hilarious before it gets simpler.

Windows RT does support pen input, so there's nothing stopping Samsung from putting that in their devices.

The UI is locked down, and for good reason. Microsoft wants all Windows users to have a similar experience regardless of the device they're using.

Ativ is Vita backwards, got to wonder if they are stealing names now or it wasn't intentional.

So they'll have no x86 tablet, am I right? Or can the smart PC pro be used as a tablet?

The Smart PC is a convertible platform. They are tablets that dock into keyboard docks.

Now this is a Windows Phone 8 device I can imagine ditching my iPhone 4 for. I'm assuming that screen is somewhere in the neighborhood of 720p-ish? Any way we could get confirmation on the screen resolution?

Anyway, between this and Nokia's WP8 Lumia, there's at least two great WP8 phones to look forward to.

It's a "HD" screen, so it will be atleast 720p. It's almost definitely the exact same screen the Galaxy S3 uses.

It's basically a Galaxy S3 with aluminium back + buttons and a larger battery. I'm seriously considering swapping my GS3 for one of these unless Nokia release something even better.

Ah you're right, I missed the "HD".
