The way China works is that some random dude says random things on Weibo, some tech sites publish it, because why not and then some western sites Google Translate it and just run with it. So a lot of garbage becomes news and there very very slim chances that there is a 935. A lot of people though the 930 was A57 on 16nm even if there have never been anything remotely credible suggesting it.
It's not about the bandwidth, it's too many devices on the same 2.4ghz spectrum, especially when you're in an apartment building and you have 100 Wi-Fi network arounds you and 90% of that is on 2.4Ghz spectrum.
The more evenly we can put devices on both 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz bands, the more stable the network is.
I thought the Mate 7 is big, but the P8max is truly gargantuan compared to it. In my opinion, for devices which have a screen bigger than 6', you definitely need a stylus.
Not sure why you relate one thing to another...totally unrelated but I wouldnt mind having one as I did like the Spen on my previous Notes before jumping to a Xperia Z Ultra hence my curiosity of this 6.8" device now.
6.8" is totally tablet level... But that's what the market demands over there I guess. Last time I was in East Asia, all I saw were little (actually tiny) girls holding smartphones with HUGE screens... My GS4 at the time looked tiny.
Interesting that their keynote graphic shows the screen literally bezelless horzontally (going all the way to the chamfered edge,) yet the actual product photos show it DOES have a (small) bezel.
"Both phones will be globally available in 30 various countries in 1 month. The regular P8 comes in at a 499€ MSRP while the premium P8 comes at 599€. The P8max costs 549€ and 649€ for the 16 and 64GB versions, both unlocked and without contract."
499 X 1.49 = $743.00!
Very pricey!
Huawei more pricey then the iPhone 6! I get the iPhone 6 if I had to choice between the two!
499€ = 539$ and the iPhone 6 starts at 699€ in Europe (Germany). If we have a look at the competition: Samsung Galaxy S6 (=699€) and HTC One M9 (=749€). So i don't think the P8 is too expensive.
I'm interested in the supersized P8 Max but is the Kirin SoC comparable to flagship Snapdragons? The last few Huawei reviews mentioned poor power management so a monster phone with a 4600 mAh battery could still run out of juice fast.

Why didn't they go with ac wireless?jjj - Wednesday, April 15, 2015 - link
Don't think they even have 5GHz ,just 2.4.The specs only say Wi-Fi 2.4GHz b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct support

The P8 Max starts at 549EUR with the "more"version at 649$.The Max also seems to have 5MP fron cam instead of 8MP.

Lack of 802.11ac is quite the elephant in the room.I don't believe they don't support 5GHz though. That was already in the Honor 6 family, which means they might be using the same modem.

On a phone? I'm not sure there are that many applications that demand the additional bandwidth.MikhailT - Wednesday, April 15, 2015 - link

Interesting to see how high clocked A57s here compare to the 1,7Ghz A15s in their previous SOC Kirin 920.vladx - Wednesday, April 15, 2015 - link
Both 930 and 935 use only A53 not A57, if I'm not mistaken. Personally I'm really disappointed by the poor graphics.vladx - Wednesday, April 15, 2015 - link
I think there' no phone yet that beats The upcoming Lenovo Vibe Shot in price/performance ratio. Both P8 and P8Max disappoint in the graphics area.Pissedoffyouth - Thursday, April 16, 2015 - link
As an owner of a Note 3, damn I'm torn about the size of the Max. Would be good for work, especially of you limited calling to Bluetooth headphonesHarry_Wild - Friday, April 17, 2015 - link
